Arrangements

Most of these digital compositions were created with photographs of sculptures and installation artwork that the artist built, photographed, and digitally manipulated in Photoshop. The use of object-based work to create flat and digitally-based compositions is both a commentary on the limitations of physical or “real” space and the comparatively mutable and fictional nature of digital images. Similar to photographs viewed solely on the Internet, these “drawings” function as mediations of the “real” or self-created myths: static and cropped, the viewer cannot come to know their pictured subjects in dynamic time nor space.
