Art history has a major influence on my work. My paintings have been inspired by artists like Picasso, Matisse, Cezanne, Basquiat, Chagall, Chinese printmakers, Ancient Greek artisans, and more. I am furthermore interested in the relationship between technological progress and art history and my work will at times explore aesthetic elements that are associated with technology, such as pixelated imagery, neon paints, and stylistic aspects that are strongly associated with Photoshop.
