This series of paintings celebrates the beauty of naturally forming crystals. It is additionally concerned with the reality that certain paint pigments have historically been made of minerals themselves. Furthermore, these paintings contemplate how the act of painting crystals with paint that contains minerals is a somewhat self-referential process.
